About Missy

Warmth is a coaching strategy.

Missy Baize is a first-degree black belt who leads at Trust BJJ, with a coaching style built on warmth and genuine community connection. She's the instructor who makes students feel welcome from their very first roll.

She's run a successful academy of her own, and she stays deeply plugged into the competitive and camp circuit — which means fresh technique, current trends, and real mat-tested experience in every seminar and every lesson.

Seminars

What gym owners get.

When you bring Missy to your gym, you're not just getting a technical breakdown. You're getting an instructor who knows how to build culture, energize a room, and leave students — new and experienced alike — more confident and more connected to the sport.

Standard seminars run $1,000 flat; women's-only seminars — a Missy specialty — run $1,250.

Private lessons · from $75/hour

The small adjustment that unlocks it.

A private with Missy is the fastest way to fix what's actually holding your game back — not a general class, but a full hour dedicated to your specific weak spots, your bad habits, or that one position you keep getting stuck in.

She's spent years watching how people actually learn jiu-jitsu, so she knows how to spot the small adjustment that unlocks a technique you've been fighting for months. Her coaching is patient and encouraging, never intimidating — perfect if you want to ask questions freely, move at your own pace, and get more reps and feedback than any group class allows.

$80/hour at Trust BJJ in Wenona — $75 for Trust BJJ members, $100 when she comes to your gym. Women's-only sessions available.

Better together

Missy also teaches alongside Eric Bydairk — a second-degree black belt and former Division I wrestler whose systems-first style is the natural complement to hers. Bring them both to your gym for one weekend: Missy's women's-only session to open, Eric's coed seminar to follow — $2,500 plus travel for the pair.
